Create your own stop- motion animated film

Want to make your own animated film but don’t know where to start?
We’ll show you how easily you can bring your characters to life.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THIS WORKSHOP

We’ll start by showing you top tips for inventing and modelling your character (so that it stands by itself and doesn’t fall apart!), with a step by step demonstration, using the same modelling clay as Aardman Animations. Then bring it to life in front of a camera, using stop motion animation. We’ve got loads of fun ideas and neat tricks to fool the camera into believing your character is really alive. If you’ve got more time to create and explore (at least one day workshop), we can make our own mini film sets, in pairs or groups. THIS WORKSHOP IS VERY ADAPTABLE and has limitless potential for customising to your themes. It’s especially good as an alternative Christmas or Halloween activity. For younger ages or shorter workshops, we can also just sculpt fun models to take home, without animating them (see price table below). Let us know what your themes are, and we’ll help you create them.

ANIMATE A FESTIVE MESSAGE to email to all your friends and family instead of sending paper cards – less paper, less postage, more fun – we even supply the fake snow! Check out the original animation (that weirdly stars a snake and decapitated head!) which was created at an after school club.

FREAK YOUR FRIENDS OUT at Halloween by showing them your spooky animation – bring your own characters to life – make ghosts float in mid air and zombies disappear into graves.
